A distinguished example of Scandinavian modern seating, this curved Danish Mid-Century three-seater sofa is attributed to the design legacy of Johannes Andersen. Crafted in Denmark during the 1960s, the piece features a beautifully contoured walnut frame that supports plush seating, marrying organic warmth with refined structural clarity. The gentle arc of the sofa’s back and arms celebrates the era’s commitment to comfort, proportion, and craftsmanship. Andersen was among the designers who advanced Danish modern ideals by emphasizing high-quality materials, elegant joinery, and human-centered design, qualities embodied in this striking yet inviting sofa. Offered in good vintage condition, the sofa presents a well-preserved finish with gentle signs of age that enhance its heritage appeal without detracting from usability. Ideal for curated living spaces that value both sculptural form and enduring comfort, this piece bridges artisan tradition and modern sensibility.
