An expressive studio stoneware table lamp created by Danish ceramic artist Conny Walther in his own workshop during the 1960s. Rooted in the Scandinavian studio pottery tradition, this exceptional handcrafted lamp combines sculptural form, artistic individuality and rich material character. The cylindrical body with its subtly tapered neck is finished in a beautifully layered glaze of warm brown and ochre tones, contrasted by darker abstract motifs that create depth, texture and visual movement. The interplay between matte and glossy surfaces enhances the handcrafted quality of the piece, ensuring that no two examples are exactly alike. Reflecting the artistic experimentation and material honesty that define Danish studio ceramics, the lamp functions equally as a lighting object and decorative sculpture. Its warm earthy palette allows it to complement Scandinavian, mid century modern, rustic, Wabi Sabi, contemporary and Art Deco inspired interiors. A highly decorative and collectible example of Danish ceramic craftsmanship, presented in good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Lampshade not included.
