This exceptional armchair by Carl Straub from the 1970s is a rare example of sculptural seating that bridges Brutalist and Space Age design. Defined by its bold silhouette and generous proportions, the chair functions as both seating and statement object. Unlike standard models, this version features leather cladding over GRP elements on the backrest and sides, adding warmth and depth to its architectural form. The black leather seat remains in excellent condition with a soft, natural patina, while the leather clad panels show minor signs of age, including light wear and a small abrasion on the back, consistent with vintage use. Concealed castors allow for easy movement without disrupting the design. A collectible and distinctive piece for refined interiors.
