A striking Brutalist pendant lamp produced by Boréns in Sweden, circa 1970s, distinguished by its sculptural construction and expressive combination of materials. Crafted from copper with oxidised and lacquered metal elements, the lamp creates a refined contrast between warm, naturally patinated surfaces and darker architectural details. When illuminated, its layered construction produces a warm, indirect light, highlighting the rich tones of the copper while creating a soft atmospheric glow. Equally compelling when unlit, the pendant functions as a sculptural decorative object and reflects the bold materiality characteristic of 1970s Scandinavian Brutalist design. Presented in very good vintage condition, with light wear and a rich age-related patina. The lamp has been newly rewired with a black cord and fitted with a European plug.
