A captivating fusion of industrial form and refined detailing, this desk designed by Studio BBPR for the Arco series by Olivetti Arredamenti Metallici dates to the 1950s and reflects the era’s forward-thinking approach to material and corporate design. Constructed with a durable metal frame and accented with red faux leather surfaces, the desk balances utilitarian strength with a striking color statement. Originally designed for use in corporate or design environments, the desk’s clean linear profile and bold red finish make it an expressive focal point in home offices or creative studios alike. The metal structure offers structural confidence, while the leather surfaces warm the composition with tactile appeal. Offered in good vintage condition, the desk retains its vibrant materials with subtle signs of age that enrich its character without detracting from usability. A piece rooted in Italian modernism and design history, this desk brings both functional presence and expressive design to curated interiors.
