A refined example of early French Art Deco lighting, this hanging lamp embodies a calm, balanced composition with a distinctly architectural presence. Crafted in France, the design is defined by its harmonious arrangement of circular brass elements, each contributing to a sense of clarity and proportion characteristic of the period. At its centre, a wide dish is suspended by delicate chains, anchored to an upper stem, while a flat ring above introduces subtle layering and depth. The form gently tapers downward a compact finial, maintaining a poised vertical silhouette. Riveted accents along the edges and joints lend a restrained decorative detail, enhancing its understated elegance. The brass has acquired a soft, natural patina over time, enriching the surface with warmth and character. Designed to balance function and form, the lamp houses a standard E27 fitting within its cylindrical top section, casting a gentle, diffused light. It remains in very good vintage condition, with age-appropriate wear that complements its authentic appeal.
