A striking Dutch Art Deco floor lamp from the Amsterdam School, dating from the 1930s, distinguished by its sculptural architecture and expressive craftsmanship. The substantial base is crafted from solid oak with contrasting black-stained details, creating a graphic interplay of natural wood and darker accents. Rising from a square base, the tapered shaft gradually narrows towards the top and is enriched with hand-carved geometric decorations, reflecting the characteristic emphasis on form and craftsmanship associated with Amsterdam School design. The lamp has been professionally checked and rewired and remains in solid, good vintage condition with age-related character. It is complemented by an off-white replacement shade, which is not original to the lamp. A distinctive example of early 20th-century Dutch decorative design with a strong architectural presence.
