This absolutely stunning and rare alabaster floor lamp from France, dating to the 1950s to 1960s, is a refined example of mid century European lighting. The solid alabaster body showcases beautiful natural veining and soft translucency, creating a warm and atmospheric glow when illuminated. The lamp has been professionally rewired and refitted for a general E27 lightbulb and is in great condition considering its age, with only very minor scuffs near the base that are hardly visible. It is supplied with a brand new bouclé shade that complements the elegant materiality of the stone. The height measures 138 cm without the shade and 151 cm including the current shade. For safe transportation, the lamp will be carefully crated. A timeless and sculptural statement piece for sophisticated interiors.
