This adjustable table lamp dates to the 1950s and exemplifies the period’s focus on functional elegance and material contrast. Constructed from patinated brass combined with green painted metal, the lamp offers a warm, timeworn surface that enhances its understated yet architectural presence. The adjustable arm allows for directed lighting, making it both practical and visually engaging. Although the designer and manufacturer are undocumented, the lamp reflects mid-century lighting design principles, where durability, clarity of form, and restrained decorative elements were essential. The juxtaposition of brass and green metal creates a refined industrial character typical of post-war European interiors. The country of origin remains unknown. The lamp is presented in good vintage condition, with surface wear and patina consistent with age and use, adding authenticity and depth to the piece. A versatile object, it works equally well as a desk lamp or accent light within curated interiors seeking character and timeless appeal.
