A rare adjustable lounge chair by Móveis Gerdau, manufactured in Porto Alegre, Brazil, circa 1950. Crafted from bentwood and laminated wood, the chair features elegant sweeping curves and a functional reclining construction characteristic of Brazilian Mid-Century Modern design. The backrest adjusts through multiple positions, while the integrated footrest folds forward to transform the armchair into an extended recliner. Continuous curved armrests create a distinctive sculptural profile and emphasize the chair’s organic character. This authentic example retains its original Móveis Gerdau / Walter Gerdau manufacturer’s label. Presented in original vintage condition with scratches, colour variations, wear and a rich patina consistent with age and use. Dimensions: W 63 × D 90 × H 100 cm. Seat height: 30 cm.
