An iconic T96 “Boomerang” executive desk designed by Osvaldo Borsani for Tecno in 1956, representing the innovation and architectural sophistication of post-war Italian design. The generously proportioned boomerang-shaped wooden top creates an enveloping workspace, supported by a refined black metal structure with two suspended storage units. Both cabinets can rotate independently, allowing the configuration to adapt to the room and enabling the desk to be positioned freestanding. The larger unit combines drawers with an open compartment for books or documents, while the smaller provides additional drawer storage. Borsani originally developed the T96 for the offices of the ENI building in San Donato Milanese, with its angular form conceived to complement the building’s pentagonal spaces.
