An elegant Swedish floor lamp from the 1950s, attributed to renowned lighting designer Hans Bergström based on its distinctive proportions, construction and characteristic shade design. The lamp captures the refined simplicity of Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern lighting, combining a substantial cast iron base with brass elements and a beautifully preserved textile shade. The contrast between the dark base, warm brass detailing and softly textured fabric creates a sophisticated and balanced composition, while the slender silhouette gives the lamp an understated architectural presence. Its design is strongly reminiscent of Bergström’s approach to lighting, although the attribution remains unconfirmed. Both decorative and functional, this floor lamp provides warm ambient illumination and works particularly well in a living room, reading corner or bedroom. The textile shade is in beautiful condition, while the cast iron base and brass components are also wonderfully preserved for their age.
