A rare PJ-030201 desk with integrated lamp designed by Pierre Jeanneret for Chandigarh, India, during the 1950s. Crafted from solid teak, the desk combines a compact writing surface with an integrated metal light that rises from one side and curves over the top, giving the piece its distinctive asymmetrical and architectural silhouette. Two drawers and an open compartment provide practical storage, while tapered legs and substantial side supports balance solidity with visual lightness. The desk has documented provenance from the Punjab Engineering College in Chandigarh, where it was recorded as Office Table 90, and the model appears in Jacques Dworczak’s Catalogue Raisonné du mobilier: Jeanneret Chandigarh. Presented in very good original condition, with a rich natural patina and a working integrated light.
