A rare Swedish floor lamp from the 1950s–60s, attributed to renowned lighting designer Hans Bergström. The lamp features a substantial conical black metal base supporting a slender black metal frame accented with refined brass details, creating an elegant contrast characteristic of Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern lighting. Its distinctive shade is crafted from rigid acrylic or plastic with a subtle striped linear pattern, adding texture while softly filtering the light. An integrated switch positioned directly on the shade provides a practical and unusual period detail. The combination of sculptural geometry, restrained materials and functional simplicity reflects the sophisticated approach to lighting found in Swedish design of the era. The attribution to Bergström remains unconfirmed. Presented in good vintage condition, with only minor signs of use consistent with age.
