An elegant French Art Deco table lamp designed by David Guéron for Degué (Verrerie d’Art Degué), Paris, dating from circa 1925–30. The lamp combines a beautifully textured hammered metal base with a striking bright blue shade in thick pressed pâte de verre glass. Delicate etched floral decoration animates the glass surface, creating depth and emphasizing the rich blue tones when illuminated. The shade bears the Degué signature, supporting its authenticity and reflecting the refined decorative glasswork for which the Parisian manufacturer became celebrated during the Art Deco period. The contrast between the sculptural metalwork and luminous coloured glass gives the lamp a sophisticated architectural presence, making it equally compelling illuminated or displayed as a decorative object. Presented in good vintage condition, with signs of age and use consistent with its history.
