This table lamp by Uno & Östen Kristiansson for Luxus Sweden is a refined example of Swedish lighting design from the 1960s. Produced in Sweden, the lamp reflects the Kristiansson brothers’ distinctive approach to modern Scandinavian design, where natural materials and carefully considered proportions play a central role. The lamp is crafted using a combination of wood and glass, creating a warm yet precise visual balance. The wooden structure introduces an organic element, while the glass component diffuses light softly, producing an inviting and atmospheric glow. This interplay of materials is characteristic of Luxus Sweden’s output, which emphasized both functionality and aesthetic harmony. Uno & Östen Kristiansson were instrumental in shaping mid-century Scandinavian lighting, and their designs remain highly regarded for their timeless appeal and craftsmanship. This example is presented in very good condition, showing only minor, age-appropriate wear consistent with careful use, while retaining its original character and visual integrity. A versatile and collectible lighting piece, ideal for design-focused interiors and Scandinavian modern settings.
