Rare Glasplatte wall sconce designed by Per Lütken for Holmegaard Glasværk and produced in Denmark during the early 1970s. The piece features a thick curved pane of frosted art glass, richly decorated with fused glass masses in warm tones of red, orange, and brown. The handcrafted process creates a unique internal structure with irregular streaks, air bubbles, and crystallized particles that enhance the diffusion of light. When illuminated, the glass produces a soft glowing ambience, highlighting the depth and texture of the material. The glass element is mounted on an adjustable metal fitting, allowing the angle of the light to be modified. Per Lütken, one of Denmark’s most influential glass designers, is celebrated for his organic forms and mastery of glass.
