An original MP-129 two seater sofa designed by Percival Lafer in Brazil during the 1970s. A celebrated icon of Brazilian Modern design, the sofa combines deep button-tufted black leather cushions with a beautifully crafted solid wood frame, creating a harmonious balance of comfort, craftsmanship and architectural elegance. The low, reclining profile, suspended leather seating and slender wooden armrests exemplify Lafer's innovative approach to modular furniture, while the exposed leather support straps and engineered frame highlight the technical sophistication behind the design. The rich contrast between the supple black leather and warm timber gives the sofa a timeless character that complements Mid Century Modern, contemporary and minimalist interiors alike. Offering generous comfort without visual heaviness, the MP-129 is an exceptional collector's piece and a true classic of Brazilian furniture design.
