High armchair with matching ottomans from the famous GE290 series, designed in 1953 by Hans J. Wegner for Danish manufacturer Getama. Crafted in solid oak with wide, flat armrests and high backs, these pieces embody the clean lines and craftsmanship of Scandinavian mid-century design. The seats and backrests feature loose, cylindrical cushions upholstered in textured reddish-burgundy fabric that complements the warm oak grain. The ottomans mirror the armchairs’ design, ensuring a cohesive look. Stamped “GETAMA GEDSTED” with Wegner attribution on the underside, they confirm authenticity. Very good vintage condition, with minimal wear and clean upholstery.
