Sculptural Lounge Chair Model “Sess” by Nani Prina, Italy 1960s
SAFE PAYMENTS
The “Sess” lounge chair, designed by Italian architect and designer Nani Prina, embodies a fusion of sculptural artistry and space-age aesthetics. Originally produced by the prestigious Italian furniture manufacturer Sormani, this distinctive piece blurs the lines between a lounge chair and a chaise longue, offering multiple seating possibilities. Its fluid, curved lines evoke both an abstract human form and an extraterrestrial landscape, making it a statement piece in any interior.
Reupholstered in a luxurious deep blue wool and tencel fabric, the chair maintains its original avant-garde appeal while incorporating sustainable materials. A discreet zipper at the back allows for the cover to be replaced, and the original gray upholstery with black motif lines is available upon request.
In excellent condition following meticulous reupholstery, this rare chair is not only a functional design but also a collector’s piece, featured in the design literature "Il Design In Italia, Dell’Arredamento Domestico" by Giuliana Gramigna and Paola Biondi.
