Coral Cadiz Shell Mid Century Ceiling Light made in Germany by Rausch
SAFE PAYMENTS
This striking ceiling lamp from the 1960s, attributed to Verner Panton and produced by Rausch in Germany, is a true statement piece. Handcrafted from hundreds of Cadiz shell fragments and bordered with fine aluminium edging, it captures the organic elegance typical of mid-century design. Cadiz shell, sourced from the Philippines, was often used as a durable glass substitute, known for its warm translucency. This lamp is in immaculate condition and includes a newly installed white fabric cable (150 cm) with a minimalist metal ceiling rose, meeting European and UK safety standards (CE marked). A discreet shell-panel door allows access to the E27 bulb socket, ensuring the light source remains subtly concealed while casting a soft, ambient glow. Ideal for dining areas or feature lighting.
