Bertel Gardberg Stool Model “Sauna” in Pine for Villa Joukhi, Finland 1950s
SAFE PAYMENTS
This "Sauna" stool, designed by Bertel Gardberg for Villa Joukhi in the 1950s, is a striking example of Finnish craftsmanship. The concave-sanded seat showcases the intricate natural beauty of pine wood, with a beautiful interplay of lines and color shades. The three legs are seamlessly inserted into the seat, secured with a traditionally crafted connection—highlighted by a wenge wedge that adds both strength and elegance.
The warm patina of the wood and pleasant proportions give the stool a refined aesthetic. While the stool shows a superficial scratch and stain on the edge, it has otherwise aged wonderfully. Notably, one of the top connections has been professionally restored.
This piece is in very good condition overall.
