804 Rosewood Rolltop Desk by Gianfranco Frattini for Bernini 1960s
SAFE PAYMENTS
The piece can be used as a desk, and as a small cabinet at the same time.
The desk is characterized by an ingenious mechanic pulling mechanism; if the desk plate is pulled out, the roll-top opens simultaneously. This desk cabinet has a lot of storage space, 10 drawers at the front, several sliding drawers behind the roll top and at the back there are 4 adjustable shelves. The glass plate on top serves as a top shelf. The desk plate is upholstered in black leather.
The desk is very well made and very heavy for its size. The desk is produced out of solid wood with a rosewood veneer. The legs are made of solid wood and are connected to aluminium strips on the front- and backside. The handles are made of chrome plated metal. Due to the positioning of the feet, the desk seems to float, which provides for a light effect.
The original Bernini sticker is on the inside of the desk, providing for authenticity.
The cabinet has small restoration work done on the rosewood on the sides, but apart from this, is completely original and in very good condition. The glass is without any damage and the mechanism works perfectly.
