Rare pair of Penta lounge chairs designed by Jean-Paul Barray and Kim Moltzer, part of the visionary Penta-line collection (France, 1970s). Conceived as an experimental project to create a complete living set that could fit inside a Citroën 2CV, the Penta range was compact, foldable, and portable — a brilliant blend of functionality and avant-garde design. The series’ ingenuity earned it a place in the permanent collection of the Centre Pompidou, Paris. Each chair features a five-point star metal frame with its original black canvas seat, combining sculptural form with effortless comfort. In excellent vintage condition, showing only minor, age-appropriate wear. Price for the pair. A true icon of 1970s French modular design, fusing art, architecture, and mobility.
