This side chair by Gilbert Marklund for Furusnickarn AB, designed in the 1970s, is a fine example of Swedish Scandinavian craftsmanship. Constructed in solid pine, the chair is defined by its characteristic round cut out details that give the design a distinctive and recognizable identity. The simple yet thoughtful construction reflects the functional clarity of the period, balancing robustness with visual lightness. The warm tone and expressive grain of the pine enhance its natural character, making it equally suitable as a dining chair or as an accent piece in rustic, modern or contemporary interiors. The proportions are carefully considered, offering both stability and everyday comfort. The chair remains in very good condition with minor traces of use and age consistent with its vintage character.
