Lounge Chair attributed to Carlo Mollino by Antonio Gorgone, Italy 1950s

Design
The elegant beech wood frame has a warm and deep patina, creating an almost golden glow. Legs stand out from each other and therefore give the chair a dynamic character. The back legs are striking, and are shaped like a lightning bolt. Two brass caps are attached to the top of these back legs, which at the same time form the slides for the reclining function. The chair can therefore be placed in a lying position and easily pushed back into a sitting position. In both cases, the comfort is pleasant as the entire interior has been replaced, as has the upholstery, which is secured at the edges of the frame with several rows of decorative nails. Please note that the design of this chair is often attributed to Carlo Mollino and its manufacture is said to have been carried out by the Neapolitan company Antonio Gorgone.
