To commemorate his iconic design, the lamp later got renamed simply ‘Fontana’. Rare ‘1853’ XXL table lamp designed by Max Ingrand for Fontana Arte, Italy (1954). Created during Ingrand’s tenure as artistic director, this model later became known simply as the ‘Fontana’ lamp, now an icon of Italian mid-century lighting design. The piece features a metal base, a glass globe, and a glass lampshade, both crafted from mouth-blown crystal glass that diffuses a soft, atmospheric light. The lamp holds four bulbs in the base and four beneath the shade, each controlled separately via a triple switch, allowing for adjustable illumination.
