Rare pendant light designed by Carl Fagerlund for Fagerhult in collaboration with Orrefors, Sweden, mid-20th century. Featuring a refined brass base and sculpted glass shade crafted by Orrefors, this piece reflects the timeless elegance of Scandinavian lighting design. Two units are available with differing heights of 55 and 110 centimeters. Both show only minor signs of age and wear. A similar, larger round version was created by Fagerlund for the General Motors headquarters, showcasing his international recognition. Orrefors, founded in 1898, was renowned for its high-quality crystal and art glass, employing many of Sweden’s most notable designers. Fagerlund worked with Orrefors from 1946 to 1980, leaving behind a legacy of lighting designs now regarded as Swedish design classics. A rare opportunity to own a piece of collectible Nordic craftsmanship.
