Bauhaus tubular steel serving cart by Robert Slezák, 1930s
SAFE PAYMENTS
This Bauhaus-style tubular steel bar/serving cart, designed by Robert Slezák in the 1930s, was manufactured by Kovona in the late 1940s. Kovona, established in 1948, brought together nationalized factories, including Slezák and Vichr, known for their high-quality tubular steel furniture in Czechoslovakia. The cart has been expertly restored with the wooden components brought back to pristine condition, while the chrome plating retains its excellent original finish. A prime example of pre-WWII Czechoslovak functionalism.
