The Prague Chair (Chair No. 811) was designed between 1927 / 1930 by Austrian architect Josef Hoffmann for Thonet. It remains one of Thonet's most popular models and continues to be produced in various versions today, though no longer with a hand-woven cane seat and backrest.

This early 2nd-series version from the 1930s features ''block legs'' with angle irons, distinguishing it from later models with round legs. The chair is crafted from brown-stained, bent beechwood and has been fully restored. It is in very good condition, with a newly hand-woven rattan seat and a refinished wooden surface. The piece bears the stamped Thonet factory brand and retains its original paper label.

Dimensions: Height 82 cm, width 50 cm, depth 45 cm, height of seat 42 cm.
