Designed by the Japanese designer Noboru Nakamura for IKEA in the 1970s, the Bore armchair has become an icon of mid-century design. Nakamura, who worked for IKEA for several years, was one of the most influential designers of his time, and his work continues to be celebrated for its simplicity and functionality.
