This elegant Bacchus bar cabinet, designed by Torbjørn Afdal for Mellemstrand Møbelfabrik in Norway during the 1950s, exemplifies the refined craftsmanship of Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern furniture. Crafted from richly grained teak, the cabinet features clean architectural lines, distinctive sculptural door handles and beautifully balanced proportions. Behind its doors, a thoughtfully organised interior provides dedicated storage for bottles, glassware and bar accessories, combining sophisticated design with practical functionality. The warm teak tones and understated detailing reflect Afdal's timeless approach to Norwegian Modern furniture. Professionally restored by a qualified conservator-restorer, the cabinet is presented in excellent condition. A distinctive statement piece for contemporary living rooms, dining areas or home bars.
