This distinctive vintage table lamp, designed by Pier Giuseppe Ramella for Arteluce during the 1980s, is an elegant example of innovative Italian lighting design. Crafted from glass, metal and methacrylate, the lamp combines contrasting materials with a sophisticated geometric aesthetic. Its defining feature is a rotating base that allows the lamp to be repositioned, offering two different lighting effects depending on which side faces outward. One side provides direct, focused illumination, while the other creates a softer, diffused glow. This versatile design makes the lamp both a functional lighting solution and a sculptural decorative object. Ideal for desks, bedside tables, consoles or contemporary interiors, it reflects the experimental approach to form and functionality characteristic of 1980s Italian design.
