{"product_id":"unique-danish-cabinetmaker-solid-oak-desk-with-carved-doors-denmark-1960s","title":"Unique Danish Cabinetmaker Solid Oak Desk with Carved Doors, Denmark, 1960s","description":"This one-of-a-kind Danish desk was entirely handmade from solid oak in the 1960s by a cabinetmaker apprentice as his final masterpiece. Compact yet substantial, the desk displays an exceptional deep patina, with its light brown oak developing an almost walnut-like warmth. Horizontal carvings across the cabinet doors emphasize the strong architectural lines, while rounded and angular forms create a distinctive interplay influenced by Art Deco, Art Nouveau and Mid-Century design. Practical details include three wooden top drawers, interior storage, an inner keyhole and fully functioning locks. The desk stands firmly on eight solid points and is constructed in three sections: two side cabinets and a substantial top that rests securely in position due to its weight. A visible crack is present in the desktop, as documented in the photographs, but the surface remains completely level and the issue is purely visual. All drawers and functions operate correctly. A unique example of Denmark's cabinetmaking tradition, created by an unknown but highly skilled craftsman. The desk will be shipped assembled.","brand":"Møbelhøker","offers":[{"title":"Product","offer_id":67641101844796,"sku":"DK_12022","price":1599.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0829\/9390\/5980\/files\/unique_danish_cabinetmaker_solid_oak_desk_with_carved_doors_denmark_1960s_first.png?v=1791559070","url":"https:\/\/curiouz.com\/products\/unique-danish-cabinetmaker-solid-oak-desk-with-carved-doors-denmark-1960s","provider":"Curiouz","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
