Loose beige wide-rib corduroy cushions and rolled armrests create a relaxed, low-profile silhouette. The upholstery is likely a later replacement, possibly dating from the 1960s or 1970s. Produced for just two collection seasons, the BZ85 is an uncommon example of experimental Dutch modernist furniture. The model is documented in Jojanneke Clarijs's 't Spectrum, pages 37 and 86.
