Lounge Chair attributed to Carlo Mollino by Antonio Gorgone, Italy 1950s
SAFE PAYMENTS
This reclining armchair from the 1950s exemplifies the Italian design ethos of the era, with its stylized beech wood frame and comfort-oriented seating. The frame boasts a warm, deep patina, giving it a golden glow, and the legs are uniquely arranged for a dynamic and elegant look. The back legs are particularly striking, shaped like lightning bolts and adorned with brass caps that serve as slides for the reclining mechanism.
The chair easily shifts between sitting and reclining positions, offering great comfort thanks to a complete restoration of its interior and new upholstery. The upholstery is secured with several rows of decorative nails, adding to its vintage charm.
While often attributed to Carlo Mollino and manufactured by Antonio Gorgone, this chair has been restored in our studio while retaining its authentic patina, and is now in very good condition
