Kwok Hoï Chan was a renowned Chinese architect and interior designer. Throughout his career, he designed numerous buildings, including several bank structures, and created furniture pieces for Air India. In the early 1960s, he moved to London, where he contributed to the design of the Queen Elizabeth II ocean liner. Later, he collaborated with the Dutch furniture company Spectrum before eventually settling in Paris, where his designs were produced and distributed by Steiner. Known for his commitment to comfort, he crafted some of the most iconic and beautiful pieces of modern design.

This Flamingo table lamp was designed in the 1960s for Concord, UK. It's made from a dark brown plastic with a chrome-plated base. Due the multiple flexible plastic tubes, the head of the lamp can be adjusted at various angles for directional lighting. The lamp remains in good working condition, showing only normal signs of use consistent with its age.
